I called mine Buddy quite frequently. His passing was easy and quick. Doc started out trying to talk us out of it, but as we talked him through what we were seeing, he checked various things, and agreed we were right. Orca had spinal spondylosis, narrowing of nerve passages in the lower spine, by the hips. Which is treatable, but also in the upper spine and that doesn't respond to treatments nearly as well. He said most folks wind up having them put down because they frequently wind up in terrible pain. Which is exactly what we wanted to avoid. Had a kitty do that on us. Kidney failure and excruciating pain. Took hours to get him to someone who could end his pain. Never Again.
Came home with take-out because none of us could stand to cook afterwards, and I though I I heard him barking in the house as I drove up. Heart sunk. But we have survived. And my wife wants another dog. Doesn't feel safe without one. Smaller dog, like her Tupey dog. She was either a Belgian Griffin, or a mutt. Looked like she'd run into a parked car. Wiry black hair in a softer brown coat, with soft fluffy white hair in a ridge on her head.

He weighs 70lb is meaner than **** in his domain and in our vehicles. But night time he thinks he is a small lap dog. His favorite spot for a hour or until momma heads to the kitchen is in the crux of my arm in my Lazy Boy.

I've pretty much leveled off until I put more effort into the weight loss.
I'm at a comfortable weight now that is a lot healthier than the 320# I was for a long time, but I'd still like to lose a few more just for vanity sake. As for more shirts, I offloaded pretty much all of them on you that day.
