Tell us all about your guns and we'll give you money to buy a nice big box to keep them all in until we come to get them.

Oh, and if you don't get one of our nice big boxes and somebody steals one of your guns and uses it in a crime we're going to throw you in the jail cell with them.

... if this passes I also predict a significant increase in the cost of gun safes. Anytime the government puts "more" in, everyone that can tries to scope "more +1" out. Think minimum wage and the like.

Yeah...i think i'll continue buying my own non tax deductable gun safes.

I bought my last gun safe in Washington State where they passed a bill waiving sales tax (9.9%). Now I'm in the market again but I won't be holding my breath for this.

Let's see, does anyone here have a problem with the IRS knowing you have a gun safe?

If it's a "Patriot" brand gun safe, then you're really screwed.

It doesn't matter if you tell them, they can log into the friends of the nsa website and find out all about you and your possessions anyway.

IF it was a tax credit that would be interesting, but simply getting to write off the taxes on the cost of the safe doesn't really interest me.
