Have been thinking about this more in last weeks, since the Libya thing. We all want out of there and all other hot spots that cost lives of Americans. I think we should start with Afghanistan. Pull the troops out, shut down the bases, don't, I MEAN DON"T leave any equipment behind whatsoever as we have done in the past, in fact demolish all buildings and fortifications at what are know our encampments. Warn any or force any Christian help organizations to evacuate and let them have the country. Next Pakistan, then Libya, then Egypt and so on and I mean the embassies, too. We can always go through the Swiss if need be. Leave nothing behind, let them have it all. The poor left behind will have to make do, yes, that is cruel, but who are we protecting. Yes, I don't sound very Christian, but something has to be done, soon.
We get our troops back here, rested and further training, and if necessary put them on the borders or on virtual standby to go in and assist Israel. No need to send them in on another invasion anywhere in the world. Then, if troops are not needed, put them on the borders and replace the Border Patrol or give the troops unlimited powers in areas along the borders to stop the flow of illegals and drugs, break the Cartels that way or at least try to. I know I have crazy thoughts, but sure makes sense to me.

Giving the troops unlimited powers in the US border would a very dangerous exercise.

I talked to him about the unlimited powers and he admitted that he worded it incorrectly. He means let them had loaded weapons unlike what the Guard has been allowed on the border in recent years, so please, have some calm in that fact. Troops with unloaded weapons on the border? That was his point, and no he is not on OSA but another forum.

Ig, I respect your opinion, now, will you try and find a book out there and read it: OH Jerusalem. It is about Israel's early days as a nation state, well six months leading up to it, well, if you can't find the book then let me know and I will bring a copy of it to loan to you. Then after reading that and remember one thing, and I could be wrong is that we the US have not put fighting ground forces into Israel since when? Yes, we send people there to explain and train on weapons and new weapon systems. Another thing is we sell weapons to them and you know what? they take those weapons, especially fighter aircraft and they improve upon on this and I have this first hand over the years, so you will just have to trust my old crusty soul, sir.

So is it OK for them to use their nukes on anyone they feel they need to in order for them to stand on their own feet?
