Laquer or polymer coating on the cases?

I'm going to say polymer, but can't say with complete certainty.

When I was buying this stuff, was long after the lacquer issue was raised so I always tried to avoid it.

I’m going to go out on a limb and say lacquer. I’m not 100% but my past experience is the greenish cases were lacquer while the gray ones for a long time have had the polymer coating

You would be correct. I looked more closely at the photo in the OP and the boxes say lacquered.

Aren't all jacketed 7.62x39 are magnetic? Even the hollow points are magnetic due to the steel in the jacket.

With the exception of Yugoslavia most all European or com block produced 762 x39 usually attracts a magnet
