1944 Inland, to avoid more annoying questions I would post some more pics, specifically of the bolt area (round or flat bolt, M1 or M2 stock), any cartouches on the stock and serial number on rear of receiver, most collector guys can judge the gun by looking at those areas. Pics of import stamp if any.
Could it be a type IV? I know pot bellies were type V. I'm pretty sure a lot of type IV stocks were factory cut for M2s. In other words not all M2 stocks are pot bellies. It’s got an M1 stock. No potbelly.
You are correct, type IV. "Low wood" M2 stocks were not pot bellies, a pic of the slide side would show if was a low wood or high wood. I'm not sure if any high wood stocks were re-cut for M2s but this could be done in the field so who knows. I have had a few M1 carbines with low wood M2 stocks. Great gun none the less. I would like to see more pics just because it's like lookin at porn for meCould it be a type IV? I know pot bellies were type V. I'm pretty sure a lot of type IV stocks were factory cut for M2s. In other words not all M2 stocks are pot bellies.
