Walked in to Bartlesville WM on Sat morning to pick up some targets to take The Boy to the range in Nowata.

Walked out with 1290 rounds of 5.56. If I'd have had another adult with me, I'd have cleaned 'em out. lol I think there were some 120 packs of AE 55gr left.

I got 1050 round of 62gr 5.56 and 240 rounds of 55gr.

Happy day. :D

Not nearly as cheap as I'd have liked to get it, but hey... it is what it is.

I was at my local Walmart Saturday and they were putting their ammo shipment up. They had probably 20 cases of 5.56 on the overflow cart and the shelves were stocked full. They even had about 30 boxes of the 50 round cci boxes on the shelf. So I have now officially seen 22LR on a Walmart shelf for the first time this year.

Which Walmart was this? The one in south BA continues to have empty shelves with only a few boxes of .40 S&W, some 5.56 and 7.62x39, and the usual hunting calibers. I did see a few boxes of 9mm, something of a rarity till recently. No .22 though, as the early-morning visitors continue to snap up whatever arrives in that caliber.

I've been seeing lots of center-fire stuff.
I don't buy much as I reload/cast for all those.

Still seeing limited quantities of 22lr though.
You can find it, just nowhere like before.

The one at 71st right off the creek turnpike. I was there around 8:45 am. They were trying to figure out where to put the cases of 9mm PMC bronze they got in. I asked the price and they were scanning 13.99. I passed on everything because Cabelas is cheaper during their free shipping and no sales tax.

But it was there. If only for a moment.

Several of the Walmarts around the OKC area have had a lot of .223/5.56, 9mm and .45 ACP lately, but I have not found any bulk packs of .22LR anywhere.

Heck the Walmart in MWC has a 700 AAC in .300 Blackout, of course no ammo for it.

Picked up another 1000 rounds today of 62-gr 5.56 XM855 at WM in Fort Smith on Zero. They had a half-dozen cases on the shelf, I dunno if they had any more anywhere else. $490ish total with tax. Also a few boxes of 5.56 62-gr in 150-packs for $70.

I'm liking this.

Course, I've got a couple of cases now of XM855, I don't think I need anymore... until the armored personnel carriers start showing up on my lawn. :/
