Glock 42 help

My wife went out to shoot her new Glock 42 on Saturday and immediately she had a misfire. The casing was not ejected. This happen several times with her. When I would shoot, the Glock was fine. I got to thinking that maybe she was keeping the trigger pulled back too long. We were shooting Winchester in the white box. Any suggestions?
