the winchester i got was 3dram and 1 1/8 oz 7/1/2 shot that will cycle my late 1920's A5 browning
there was another 100 pack i got that will not cycle the gun.
But i can't remember what it was
If you are really going to reload, pay a little extra for Winchester AA.
Of the cheap stuff I like and have shot thousands of Estate. They are the only cheap bulk that will reliably cycle my Benelli. They seem a little hotter than the others.
Be aware that the way they can make cheaper shells is by using aluminum instead of brass for head and by lessening the shot charge. Not powder, but shot charge. Look at the weight on the box. The lighter the charge the more reliability may suffer in autos. I prefer 1 1/8 oz. but you won't find that in your bulk packs. Why? Less shot, less cost. And I need all the tiny bullets I can get to hit them f'n birds.
Trying to reload the cheap bulk hulls is possible, but getting a good crimp is tough. It will crimp, but a few days later some will open back up.
Do yourself a favor and get the AA or the Remington sporting clay rounds. You can get dozens of reloads from each hull.
Federal bulk is the best, cheapest. Remington gun clubs used to be able to be had for about the same price when on sale with a mail in rebate and are better and reloadable.
Spend a little more and get the AA shells. One of the most reliable and best reloading hull there is. Winchester usually runs a $2/box rebate in the spring where they equal out to about $65/case after the rebate.
Good luck.
