we had a group[ of cedar waxwings hanging out in our ash tree for a few days also. we also have an eastern phoebe building a nest under the eve of the vacant house next door. the brown headed cowbird is a well know nest invader. the cowbird has tried for days to run the phoebes off to no avail. cheap entertainment.
do we need a "bird watchers" thread? we have two feeders and a hummingbird feeder as well as a suet block out. the drought seems to have brought some different birds in over the last couple of years.
