Wanting to get an inexpensive rifle together for my young nephew.
I have a Marlin 60 stock that I can repair and cut down, but it is the newer style.
I also would prefer the shorter 19" barrel so it is lighter and balances better.
One manufactured between 1999-2007 would be ideal (shorter barrel and pre-Remington).
Not wanting to spend a lot as it will be a kid's rifle.
Ugly is OK, needing minor repair (besides the stock) is OK, and I might even consider a longer barrel or a Remington made one if the price was right.
This is the newer style. (1985 and up)
