Got some 800-X

Checked Gunbot a couple days ago and found that Powder Valley had 1# IMR 800-X for $17.15. Ordered 4#s and it cost me $107.05 with shipping and haz-mat. It ain't the best powder for 9mm, .38 spl. or .45 auto, but it'll work.

I never used it but if it goes bang and keeps you in ammo all is great.
Makes me glad i got my 4lb of bullseye when i did. and almost wish i got more.

It's actually good powder, just runs a little (a lot) dirty.

I used it in some 45acp loads. Very snappy. People complain about metering problems but I haven't had any trouble with my Lee equipment.

Shoots dirty for sure.

Is it shooting dirty because reduced loads or is it just dirty.

I think because it's dirty.....
I haven't loaded any in years but what I remember was it was very consistent velocity wise.

Yup, just dirty. I'm not loading reduced loads with it. They're full power using 230gr balls. Good round, but dirty powder.

I've used it worked good. I'm working on my 8 lber of unique, yup dirty but if you don't get dirty you didn't play hard enough
