Awesome find! Plans to restore or just leave as is?
Had just moved to DE, 4 blocks from the DE River, I was 12. This is my first tackle box, I'll be 70 in Aug. I use some nice plastic molded ones most of the time but every once in awhile this one goes in the truck and I'm 12 again, even if it's only for a couple of hours.

Nice reel, that wasn't cheep when new. I believe it's the same as one my Dad had many years ago. He never had a backlash but the first time he let me use it he ended up having to cut the line off it was so bad. Clean it up and use it!
I have the same reel you have, and probably the same rod too, truth be known; and the same tackle box CMC has. I have so much old fishing gear it is almost a burden. 
I have 2 reels, very similar. 1 is on a rod.
I have used it several times, but none in the last 10 years.
Now, I'm wanting to go dig them out and use them.
At least when the Wif gets to complaining about having too many guns, I say, "not as many guns as fishing rods."
They are all specialized equipment.
