Gun case foam / memory foam matress

Anyone ever use a cheap memory foam mattress for gun case foam?

No, you need closed cell phone. I have used a foam float mat because I wanted a stiff foam.

Nope, I've never even seen "cheap" memory foam. Sheesh my memory foam bed was over $5k...the pillow was over $100!

I got some of this stuff for tool organization, but think it would be great for gun / accessory cases too.
It comes in different thicknesses and is in layers that are lightly glued together. You just cut out the shape you want and peel down to the depth you want. Pretty inexpensive too.

There is a shop behind H&H that sells gun foam. I have never tried it, but I have been told by a couple of members here, that it is reasonably priced.

If you want the best foam get high density foam. It's almost not squishy at all. You cutout the shape of your gun in the foam and it doesn't move. Not sure where to get it here locally. Might try Allied Foam Fabricators.

Bought our King Mattress from him. He makes his beds so the cover zips around the foam layers and while the bottom latex layer is supposed to be good for 15 yrs, my past experience with memory foam, which is on the top layer, is that it will compress within 3-5 years but can be easily replaced with new memory foam. Yup, my bff buys her foam from him for the gun cases she made, it's a good place.
