The curiosity bug bit me this morning as I was reading an ad for a gun with a hammer forged barrel. I have heard that term over and over, but never knew what it meant. A quick Google search returned this website:

It is a training/study guide for some school of justice, but they cover a ton of information regarding the history, manufacture, and use of guns, parts, and ammunition. I'm sure there is better material out there, but I found this to be pretty enlightening so I thought I would share.
