H&R/NEF 44 Mag Single shot.

Anyone know a good source for H&R or New England Firearms 44 mag single shot rifles locally. I want the 44 mag for the knock down and the fact that where I hunt the longest shot available is about 75 yards. I also reload 44 mag which is a plus for economics. Thanks guys.

Big Boys in Wheatland will order any NEF configuration you want. I can't remember the price, but it was under $300.

A friend of mine has the NEF in .500 Smith. Recoil (and I am far from recoil sensitive) is truly brutal. It kicks a lot more than my Model 70 .338 Win Mag, and that thing will get your attention.

I have not fired an NEF in .44 mag, but suspect it isn't too bad. I do have a ruger .44 carbine, and it's pleasant to shoot. CB
