I think I might have a little hording issue cause I have about 20 times that amount. I used to rehab mom and pop drug stores and have flipped some houses. I would look at an old, dated light fixture and think man that's ugly - replace it and then once I got the old one down and looked at it, I'm thinking that would be good for replacement parts on another old fixture that might be cool. It sets in the shop/garage until the next garage sale. Put it out for a few bucks and no one buys it. I have buckets of old and leftover new bolts, screws, nails of all types, air nailers/staplers and reloads of every kind. I guess I'm over all that stuff though, cause I haven't use most of that stuff in a while. Had some things stored at my buddy's shop who helped me work on houses. He turned 92 this year and he asked me, are we gonna flip anything else? I said no- he said you need to get all that crap out of here, so my family doesn't have to deal with it.

A couple of days ago my wife wanted some Tung oil for one of her projects. I said I'd look, and I know I had some back in 1977 when I refinished my grandmother's old radio. I found it yesterday (in the first place I looked.) and told her. I guess I wasn't quick enough for her and she had ordered some on the web.

Wish I was home to take pics. My shat is organized. Without looking, any tool box drawer can be opened and a tool recovered with a glance. It’s three levels high with side boxes.
Nuts and bolts are in drawers sorted by size and stainless or carbon.
My parents were the same way so it’s an inherited trait.
The day my mom passed away after being gone for 30 plus years, you could blindfold me and ask me to retrieve a flashlight, fork, skillet or whatever and I could walk right to it as those items had their place and never changed.
That’s in the man cave for now.
In the home, “someone” tends to “stuff” things and forget the location.
That’s all I’ll say about that…,
