Appliance repair costs

I wish it be required that engineers spend atleast 2 yrs in the field making repairs before they develop anything and see how hard it is to make repairs on things the develop.

5 years as a mechanic. Then another 5 as a machinist. And they still shouldn't be allowed out without a keeper.
