Got the buzzer game finished!
The kids sit on the piano bench and manipulate the wand throughout the wire maze. The piano bench has an eccentric motor that vibrates the bench and a car horn. The piano bench will have a drape over it and the wires to the game will be covered by carpet.

Then it turned out so well, they wanted a bar to match! Oh my aching back.
I love the challenge and the creativity of the props to look like the real thing but made of cardboard and glue.

Cut back a little on my display this year, couldn't get in the mood. I will be passing out energy drinks to the little ones and beers to the older ones... Parents love me!

I had to dumb down the molding because of time and material constraints. In the original, there are 8 complete arch moldings and ten total including partial arch moldings. I added dentil molding under the tops and dark gold acanthus leaves to both pieces for continuity.
My molding profile. All the ribs are cardboard cut with my bandsaw.
Would you believe I broke two bandsaw blades cutting cardboard and foam?
To be honest about it, they were worn out blades and were ticking bad when I installed them. The best part, is all my materials I had on hand I donated to the project, I get to replenish all my stock on their dime!
About time someone forked out for my creativity and material for projects I get volunteered for.
Yeah, momma's old curtains I kept for just such an occassion.

Pretty cool! We priced candy when shopping over the weekend....looks like we'll be having a 'blackout' halloween! Prices seem to have doubled. We don't get many, if any trick-or-treaters, and those that do show up need more veggies. Maybe I'll buy a bag of those mini carrots?
