The 44 had an oversized bore!!! I dont know if it has been fixed yet. Here is a link to the best handi forum in the world. Lots of stuff on the 357 Max, Do a search.

Well did a little search and it looks like the 357 Mag has a CUP of 35k and the 44 Mag a CUP of 36k and these are on SB1 frames I would hate to have to buy a rifle then send it in to put the 357 Max barrel on being the Max has a CUP of 40K I would hate to have THAT much pressure pop in my face!

I'll have to spend some time over on the Handi site that twocan provided! if I will have to purchase a rifle receiver then send off for a barrel then rent a reamer it just may not be cost effective? oh well better to find out now then after I purchase a Handi! Later,
