Getting two .22 rifles ready to gift to a friend - Really long post

Hello SSG_McD.

I'm a member of the Stillwater Rifle & Pistol Club,,,
Our range is out by Lake McMurtry,,,
West and a bit north of Stillwater.

It only costs $105.00 per year for a single membership,,,
If I recall correctly it's only another $10.00 for additional family members.

It's a gated range that's open sun-up to sun-down, 365 days a year.

I went yesterday and the weather was beautiful,,,
Low 60's with no wind and sunny/cozy,,,
I was comfy just in shirtsleeves.

I went to sight in the rifles I'm gifting away,,,
Despite the beautiful weather,,,
I was a tad disappointed.

Due to my recent illness and surgery,,,
I haven't been shooting in quite a while,,,
I did get my groups centered on the bulls-eye,,,
But to tell the truth they looked more like shotgun patterns.

I'm getting old my friends,,,
But I'm not complaining,,,
It beats the alternative.

So now it's just a matter of scrubbing the guns,,,
And making them all shiny for Christmas.

I know my friend doesn't have any accessories for guns,,,
He (or his wife) does have a Ruger .357 revolver,,,
So I decided to get them a complete kit.

Can of spray CLP,,,
22 rifle cleaning kit,,,
Adult muffs and glasses,,,
Youth muffs and glasses,,,
Reversa brand target stand,,,
325 round bulk pack of Federal Auto Match...
El-Cheapo Plano cases for the Acu-Bolt and Mini-Bolt.

This should get them set up for some family fun this spring,,,
I've taken the adults to my range as guests a few times,,,
They did say that they would likely get a membership.

Well I cleaned the rifles and have them all ready to gift away,,,
Here's a pic of them with the accessories I selected.

I believe this kit will set my friend's family up very nicely,,,
Like I said I worked and was friends with him for well over 15 years.

Can of spray CLP,,,
22 rifle cleaning kit,,,
Adult muffs and glasses,,,
Youth muffs and glasses,,,

El-Cheapo Plano cases for the Acu-Bolt and Mini-Bolt.

The Acu-Bolt has a Simmons 3-9 x 32 scope mounted and zeroed as best as I can,,,
The Mini-Bolt has the fiber optic front and rear sights zeroed as best as I can,,,
For the Mini-Bolt I also have the Henry scope mount with Henry 4X scope.

Twelve years ago I had a heart attack and was in hospital for a week,,,
He drove 34 miles each day to feed my cat and scoop her box.

This is a long delayed thank you for that good deed.

Aarond, I’ve always had this good vibe about you, but I never knew why. I attributed it to your posts, many of which I agreed with. But, nah! Not that!
Thought it might be your choice of weapons. Nope! Some you seemed to like didn’t turn me on at all.
