Nothing really impressive about this one. DRT. Hooked up to pick up to drag out. Turned between the wrong cedar trees and had to blaze a new trail because I didn't want to move the sucker to back out. Skeeters were pretty bad. Cutting down more cedar trees is on the agenda late winter 2022. I hate em almost as much as feral pigs.
It's never too hot to shoot hogs.
Nasty humidity tonight. Had nearly a 2 minute standoff with a skunk. (I recorded a full minute and 20 seconds of it) Stalked in within 50 yards of this gilt and dropped her with 1 shot in the sweet spot.
Looks like I found a cool new hangout spot.
I'm not going to lie, I really hate hunting in the heat. I'll get back into it in another month or so as the food starts to run low and the hogs start rooting around here again.
My last kill (Friday). I really screwed it up, but picked the boar up running with a heart shot that stopped him in about 20 yards.

I live up north of OK, always wanted to hunt boar. Looks like a **** ton of fun..
