Dielectric cleaner and grease are your friends in that steering column.
I think so too. It’s working now but not well. I ordered a whole new complete switch. Going to do that when it’s warmer. I also need to redo the steering wheel bearing/bushing but that’ll have to be later.

If you have a Tilt steering wheel you my need a special puller for side pins on steering solemn if your year has them.
I think my truck is so old that it doesn’t have them. I’ve pulled the wheel and mostly pulled the switch out to replace just the cam. Also watched a ton of videos on it. Thank you for the advice though. I’ll post pics when I swap the whole switch.
