Suicides and accidents have always been included in these statistics. The information is straight forward.
You can make a libertarian argument that suicide is a person's own business. It's still gun violence.
You can ask yourself if people in states with fewer guns have just as many suicides committed by other means.
Aren't there just as many people in New York taking pills and jumping off bridges as there are people in Oklahoma blowing their brains out? No, for some reason, there aren't.
What twisted logic? I didn't suggest that the statistics change your gun rights in any way, just that they include suicides. Take it up with the CDC. Why not at least take a look at the information. It'll help you explain things to the hippie that married your sister.
I didn't say it was your tortured logic, but it is absolutely tortured. Does or does not the CDC classify suicide by pills as "pill violence"? Do they classify suicide by car as "car violence"? No, they do not. The CDC is interjecting itself into 2nd Amendment politics by classifying suicide or accidental death by firearm as "gun violence". There's a reason they were banned by law from conducting "studies" on gun violence. They have an anti-2nd Amendment agenda and that is indisputable.
