Well said JB. I knew you were not a real lawyer. I actually understood what you wrote.

I like the idea of posting link to the add in the GD for a tar and feather session. I don't mind the trade ads a much as the blatent goiging. I am pretty sure that given the currentent climate anyone that doesnt include a price is looking to get top dollar and doesn't not want to be verbally trashed.

There are people in the community that are here just for the benefits of classifieds abilty to earn them money and the general firearm chat is just a bonus. Instead of the other way around.

My two cents. Merry Christmas everybody.

Here's the bottom line, a Smith and Wesson Ar is not worth $ 899. Look on Gunbroker, everyone here compares their prices to them, but we're not going to now?

What the heck does this mean?

You don't think any S&W AR is worth $899?:anyone:

Nope, you can't find a single Ar S&W on gunbroker under $1600-$1800.
Old Phart, what I'm saying is, anything it takes to build an AR is now worth double or maybe triple the price. Dont whine because an OSA brother or sister wont sell their stash for what it was worth 3 months ago, and the ones bitching damn sure wouldn't!

Rules? What rules? We don't need no stinking rules!

Smart money is on waiting a month and buying one at regular price when they get back in stock.

hahahah.

I'm sorry guys, really I am, but this is bull.

If AR parts, complete rifles, accessories and lowers are sold out EVERYWHERE and look to be for the perceivable future, then what are you supposed to do? Keep it listed at below pre-hysteria market prices? A few months ago someone on here said explicity, "Gun prices are dropping 'cause everyone has their rifle now they just want ammo." Well guess what now the guys without the rifles are scared as hell.

People are paying 1400 dollars for 800 dollar ARs right now. It's simply the way it is. If someone is willing to pay that much to get one of these rifles, then more power to them. If the situation doesn't stabilize and in two months you're seeing the same thing, I want one of you guys to put your money where your mouth is and let one of your surplus AR-15s go for $600.

Market drives price and if supply is scarce the price goes up. I don't care if you can find a web page where some store had it listed for $80 dollars but it sold out six months ago. Find it now, for less, live without it or buy the inflated product. Whining isn't going to make more magically appear on the market and a lot of people are too scared to wait and will pay $260 for an ATI poly lower just so they can possibly complete their build before ARs are possibly banned.

Me, I've no great love for AR-15s so I'm going to wait until the hysteria is over before I buy a lower receiver, lpk and bolt. Hell, I already decided I wasn't going to shoot 'em anymore until ammo prices went way down.
