Goes great with your house payment, truck payment, Bass boat payment, ...... my stuff is paid for."House had 30 yr mortgage, paid for in 20. He had a new house built, every 5 years. Normally with balloon payments, to keep payment low first 5 years. Could do nothing for himself, always paid to have repairs.To each their own. Choices / consequences, deal with it. Blame yourself, not others.Mom calls, one day. She is at the ""Hen's Cackle Salon" (beauty shop) that is a couple blocks from our house, calls to have my 13 yo son come to shop and mow. The owner's son (17) is wanting gas money to drive his friends to beach. She told him to mow, had been telling him to mow for a week.My son shows up 5 minutes later, mows, weed eats, blows down walk and parking. Goes in to get paid and gets 5 more mowing jobs from customers.Buy end of summer, he had bought a riding mower and had 3 buddies working for him. Every job came from customers. Many of those customers had teens that refused to work.From the dawn of time; work /eat. Don't work / don't eat. Don't whine to me, I got no sympathy for you.A friend of Wifs called, all upset because her husband, who worked all the time, was told NO OVERTIME, possible strike coming. She didn't know how they would make it. Her credit cards were maxed out and her minimum monthly payment was OVER $800 a month. She always made the minimum payment only. And every 6 months, the card company would raise her limit and she would go max it out.Wif was not sympathetic to her plight.Look at the kids and adults out there that have no idea how to prepare a meal, just go get McD's, every day.If McD went away, I wouldn't notice, wouldn't care.I believe the problem started not with BOOMERS, but with HIPPIES, the counter culture. No disciple, no accountability,  no responsibility. I always found it hilarious, the bands and songs going on about "the man", "the establishment", but NEVER turned down the MONEY.I worked around a pothead 25 yo, continually ranting about the ills of capitalism and need of socialism. Whining about government taking too much of HIS money, but get PO'd when told those taxes were HIS doing to pay for his great socialism.He posted some of his music on Farce Book and Tik Tok. Was so excited when somebody wanted to buy one of his songs. I said, "how very Capitalist of you, why didn't you give it to him? He needed it."His response, "I have a family to take care of. Oh ****, shut up, it's not the same thing."You can't fix stupid, but you can let it starve.One more, Wifs 94yo Grandmother could no longer keep up with her house and 3 acres. Sold it and bought a townhouse. Made the minimum down payment on a 40 year mortgage. Her son was upset about it, the house sell was way more than cost of the townhouse.She laughed at him, "the idiots included mortgage insurance. I die, you get a paid off house. I don't think I will pay it off."</blockquote>
