So I got a call from a vendor the other day and he is taking a group hog hunting in September.
Well its been probably 6 years since I hunted anything besides some doves here and there, so my free hog trip is probably gonna cost me some dough. I couldnt even venture a guess as to where any of my camo/hunting gear is, afterall its been lugged through 2 moves and stored in 3 houses in 3 states.
Anyway, the real reason for this post is, I had been planning on buying/building a few ARs this fall. So I decided I might as well put together an AR for my hog hunt.
So whats the best type of build for hunting pigs, or is there one? I assume .308 or better would be the caliber of choice. 458 Socom looks interesting. Any thoughts, ideas, or opinions?
Thanks
