homemade case lube

i always poured a couple of hundred cases into a baking pan, 10 or so sprits of dillon lube, hands in and mix them up several times, bottle of dillon lasted for thousands of loads

I've used Hornady One Shot for both rifle and pistol cases for several years and I've never experienced a stuck case (knock on wood).....as someone mentioned I think the key is to stand them up in a reloading tray while spraying being sure to get some inside the necks.

I got a few tubes of the Lee case lube - that white stuff in a tube.

I mix it in 99% isopropyl alcohol. About 1.5" squirt of Lee lube in a 4 ounce spray bottle. Shake shake shake. Lay out brass on a sheet, spray three or 4 times. Let it dry, roll the brass over, repeat. It doesn't take much.

The mix dries very quickly, leaves a slight white film on the brass. It's a waxy feel, works fine.

No need to clean it off. It's not messy, not sticky, no staining. I just load it and shoot.

Ive used them all. But once I started to make my own the store bought stuff has just sat on the shelf

A very Little bit of lanolin (liquid not paste) and highest percent alcohol. A large sprayer comes out to about a buck or so and lasts quite a while

Fuel dryer -red bottle "Heat " = Highest % of alcohol . 4-1 mix alcohol to lanolin is my go to lube ,mix a qt up in a spray bottle . If your reloading room gets cold in the winter ,pull the sprayer or the lanolin will pug it up .

Don't know anything about rice oil, but I can tell you I've had nothing but headaches with the hornady one shot. I use a small base sizer on 223 for my ARs and have gotten so many stuck it is not even funny. I've loaded over 10k pieces already and had to the tried and true " rolling hem on the lube pad with regular lube. Am I just an idiot and not using he spray lube correctly? Before you answer-- Be nice.

I have dies on my bench, right now, with stuck cases using One Shot. .30-06, .260Rem, .44Mag and .223


Bought carbide dies for all my pistol calibers.
Using the old pad and RCBS, never a problem.

The One Shot gets sprayed IN the rifle dies and on press ram arm.

I will get some lanolin and isopropyl, when the RCBS gets used up.

PSA: Walgreens has 99% isopropyl.

I love One-Shot on pistol even though I only use carbide dies. It really smooths up the process.
But, I won’t use it on rifle for exactly that reason.

I use Dillon or the copy-cat recipe on rifle.

Liquid Lanolin. I bought mine from Amazon. I believe it can be found at CVS or Walgreens. Tell them it is for your nipples.
