How is this for fast shipping?....

I ordered this nifty Bob Loveless "Chute Knife"-looking Japanese dive knife from Japan through japaneseknifedirectdot who charged $10 flat shipping....had found one old thread somewhere where a guy said they were legit and he received his knife in three days, which is incredible considering customs clearance.

My knife shipped Fri late PM, and arrived today/Mon. before noon....happy veteran's day to me....
The PacSalt for scale, the folder 0.125" thick, the diver a considerably beefier 0.200" in such a short 4.5" blade. Very mundane highly rust resistant 420J2 that you might bend but will never chip or break (minus making it your life ambition). For those unfamiliar with the name, they did Valor, G96, Browning, Cold Steel, SOG, currently Fallkniven will ring a bell, and too many others to list. If they made it, it will be perfect.

But mainly, $10 from Japan to here in 2.5 days?!

And that is not counting the difference in time, which is about 15hrs. I am on a waiting list for another knife from them, you betcha.

And it takes a week or longer to send something to Tulsa. And my personal favorite, It took 45 days for me to mail a 4 page document and cover letter to Wichita first class.

This was DHL Express all the way, and I note it went through Customs in Cincinnatti rather than NY/Chicago/LA which may explain the blazing clearance and why they route through there....normally I can count on 2.5 days minimum just clearing customs at most ports of entry....the merchant obviously eating a lot of shipping cost, too.
