Hard to say but I have always loved DET. Belker. Grunchy looking dumpster diver to catch any scumbag out there, he made my day or evening when there was a brawl in the station house and he ended up biting someone!

Yeah, I remember the killed Dennis Franz off then brought him back.
Hill Street Blues was top shelf. You saw a young David Caruso, there were all kinds of sub plots.
Rememeber Vega$, with Robert Urich? Dan Tanna. How about Police Story, different cast every weak, Don Meridith was in some of those. Miami Vice. The Streets of San Francisco. Dragnet. And Highway Patrol with Broderick Crawford "10-4".
I think NYPD Blue was king tho.
