Engine starter motors are high torque as you know but the longevity would be lacking in my experience. Not to mention when batteries get weak that is the most diagnosed culprit to starter motor failure( low voltage).  I like your engineering design concept thou and as always one man's junk is another man's treasure. Always said give me a pile of junk and it will entertain me for awhile building stuff.</blockquote>
