I’ve had sessions like that with 6.5x55. I think my issue is my dies. I don’t have near the problems with other calibers.
After painting a car I can sand with 1500 or 2000 grit wet and then hit it with machine glaze and it will put the shin to it.
That machine glaze will also remove swirl marks in paint and remove scratches a little.
I use this for deeper scratches.
Or #1 cuts a bit deeper.
I keep all 3 on hand.
Expensive stuff but I found it is worth it.

I didn’t see any mention of uniforming the flash holes inside the primer pocket. Did you skip that?
Negative --- I actually did that too. That's one reason I like a lathe...makes steps like that super easy. I got the drill chuck attachment that let's me put all those things in there.
Deburring flash holes isn’t much fun. Thankfully it’s a once in a brass lifetime thing unlike primer pocket cleaning and case cleaning. I dunno how much difference it really makes but some cases dang sure have a chip/tear out hangin of the inside of the flashole. Atleast those that are punched vs drilled anyhow.

Same here. I don't know if it makes a difference but the more I can make the ammo better the more I can rationalize blaming the shooter
