[QUOTE="Brandi, post: 2508552, member: 24446"] I love how the argument against the crazy far left is based on the crazy far right. Fluoride in the water may not be as relevant today as it was when it was implemented but it's hardly the issue some folks make it out to be. Homosexuality is natural as heterosexuality just not as common. There's no longer any such thing as honest media since it's become partisan based and funded so taking one side as truth and dismissing the other is ridiculous. America was based on religious freedom. Condemning an entire religion because of the actions of extremists is condemning Christianity also. The "welfare" system is completely out of control. It's not a bad program, it's a good program run badly. If the government could/would dedicate the resources to weed out those who are abusing the program they would save exponentially more money than it cost to police. The extreme right is just as crazy as the extreme left, but you'll never get either to see that. It's a wacky world of tin foil hats vs daisy necklaces where reality has taken a permanent vacation. Usually, it's just amazing and occasionally entertaining but when people are told that vaccines are dangerous and their children pay the price, well that is just idiotic and beyond rational. The guy that started the whole "vaccines cause autism" movement had no proof to begin with other than coincidence and has since been proven wrong more ways than you can count but the damage he did still continues. This insanity costs lives, the lives of children who have no choice in the matter. Vaccines aren't 100% reliable but they are the best way we have to protect the world's health and reduce the risk of worldwide infection and mass death that has happened in the past but was controlled or basically wiped out by vaccinating the people. These folks who actively work to convince young parents not to vaccinate their children have the suffering and deaths of these kids on their hands. The ridiculous arguments against vaccines have zero basis and you can thank that kind of stupidity for the current rise in sickness and deaths of children from diseases like measles, mumps, whooping cough and chicken pox to name a few.
