Standalone, just because there is no serial # stamped in the wood doesn't mean that they aren't original. It's not too uncommon for some to be blank. From what I can see in the pics, they are at least correct.
Mtngunr, thank you for the kind words. I love to study S&Ws, especially from WW2 to 1982. I believe S&W did their best work in that time period. I'm also very fond of the period between WW1 and WW2, but still have much, much more to learn on those.
