We are animals with all the predatory nature of an animal.

We are all animals but we aren't just animals. That is why we can - if we work hard - rise above mere animal instinct. The stranger who lays down his life for another is NOT committing an animal or instinctual act. That is an act of bravery or love or devotion to God...it varies but it shows we can do better than how our lower base selves are "wired". We need to promote moral training that reinforces that idea while being clear eyed and alert to those who won't or can't follow such higher counsels.

I never noticed this until I took my Intelligent Robotics class, but looking at animals, generally you can tell if they're predators or prey by their eyes. Forward facing eyes are characteristic of predators because it allows depth perception, whereas side mounted eyes are beneficial to prey animals because it creates a much wider field of view. Not entirely relevant to the discussion, just interesting, lol

There are examples of this in the wild as well. Just look at any mother protecting her babies. Even when she is obviously outnumbered and outgunned, she lays her life on the line to protect here babies. Or the dog that ran into traffic after watching another dog get hit and pull the injured dog to safety. There is also a video of a buffalo or wildebeest being attacked by lions and the other come back to save it.

We are naturally designed to kill humans. We have features like large brains and thumbs made specifically for that. The Brady Campaign should push to ban all humans, so we can all be safe.

I don't think so. I think people are naturally good. Desparation, confusion, sadness, sorry and empty souls make some people do bad things.

Then who/what decides/decided what is good or bad? Man is born with sin.

Since religion has been raised, we are all prone to sin. In John 8, there is a discussion between verses 31 through 47 about who the "father" of the human race is. The really telling quote is from Jesus in verse 44 where he tells the questioners who their "father" really is:

John 8: 44

You belong to your father, the devil, and you want to carry out your father’s desires. He was a murderer from the beginning, not holding to the truth, for there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks his native language, for he is a liar and the father of lies.

There is a video series that is 13 hours in length called The Truth Project. Not only does it give the viewer a excellent understanding of Christianity and the relationships between God, Jesus Christ, The Holy Spirit and mankind, it really gives an excellent argument as to why evolution is STILL only a theory, and likely has actually been proven wrong, even by Charles Darwin's own criteria for proving it wrong.

I highly recommend it. It is from Focus on the Family and when we got ours it was around $100 for the set. I think I've watched the thing anywhere from 12 to 15 times and learn something new every time. I linked the title of the series above if anyone is interested.
