I agree, are you out of our mind? All the OP has to do is give up the large Dr. Pepper,for a medium. He will lose weight for sure.

Switch to caffeine free DIET Dr. Pepper. It tastes better, won't get you hyped up, and it's lower in calories.
Or you could do like me, and drink a pot of coffee most days. No sugar, no creamer, just pure, black, strong coffee.
