If your needing it for a smoker I know some grocery stores sell it, I know the Homeland at 24th and Robinson in Norman has bundles outside and in front of the store, maybe all of them do this IDK. They have bundles of Mesquite, Hickory, and Pecan.

walmart, about $5 a bag. If you want big pieces, for large scale smokers hit up the local BBQ shops, most places use a local supplier and can point you in the right direction. If you are looking for fresh (not seasoned) Mesquite for artwork, you might try calling the two statuary places on I35 between OKC and Edmond.

Settlers in Oklahoma cursed the name of mesquite wood. It wasn't good for anything and this area was full of it. Too hard to cut and hewn, too scragly to use as is. Then they started burning it and discovered its flavor potential. It is almost impossible to kill a mesquite tree, it has a very broad seeding range and is very hardy. It also soaks up groundwater, which can be a good in marshy areas, but wrecks havoc in grassland.
