So I ask the little old lady waitress "where's all the guns"
She says " isn't that scary that anyone could just be carrying a gun"
Little did she know that I was carrying. Maybe I should have "scared" her! Haha.

A response along the lines of:

YOU: "You know maam - not just anyone can legally carry a gun. You've got to be vetted by the government to do that. Anyone with a license to carry - and you could get the permit yourself I'm sure - is a government certified good guy and only those so certified can legally carry in the open. If you can see the gun odds are its a good guy carrying it because bad guys don't want to advertise they're packing and draw attention to themselves from our police. So no - that's not scary at all now is it? What's scary is the bad guys who hide the guns they are carrying - you don't know who they are. They could be anyone in this place and how would you know. That's what's really scary. Think about that."

I went ahead and told her "I am your first open carry customer", showed her I was carrying and said
"see, it's not just scary people that carry guns" she said " I want to see your permit"
I said " you did see it when I had my wallet open when I paid at the counter"
