I watched the video and am fairly sure the vet could’ve just beat the guy’s @ss and not shot him, but it’s easy to armchair quarterback these situations.
Agreed. But even if he couldn't, it was one unarmed man attacking a group of men. I really have a difficult time seeing him fearing for his life under the circumstances.

The legal standard is whether or not he had a reasonable, articulable fear of death or great bodily harm. If we had a justice system that’s all that would matter. But we have a legal system in a society where we can literally change the meaning of words on a whim. What can be articulated can be dismissed with a wave of the system’s hand.
