Giron in Pueblo is losing even worse than Morse, according to the Colorado Springs Gazette as of 9:30 pm CDT.

Colorado Springs Gazette

Early stories reported that the majority (60%) of Colorado citizens believed that the recall elections were the wrong way to do things, and that they should have waited until the regular elections. It looks like the recall proponents got out to vote more than those that disapproved of the recall.

One thing about the recall election; it is a very clear indicator that it was the gun issue that drove the results. Had they waited until the regular elections, the anti-gunners could have always claimed that the economy, unemployment, or any other desired subject was what caused the loss of those that supported gun control. This is a clear message to Bloomberg and his anti-gun mayors that even if it was a low turnout, they lost.

Woohoo! I love Colorado, and hope it can one day flush the stupid out of its system. It makes my heart happy to see people who put politics before their constituents get the boot.

This didn't happen in Oklahoma.

Sometimes what happens elsewhere may just effect Oklahoma. . . I half expect some people who post this statement reply to a message about a nuclear disaster in north Texas to say the same thing while radioactive fallout falls across the state.

Anyway, I am glad to see that a politician is getting the message that his true constituents didn't approve of what they did. Who's up for recalling someone a lot higher up?

Since the mods have merged the two different threads regarding this, this is to delete a "double post," since I said basically the same thing in both threads.

The beauty of this election is that John Morse was also their Senate president. So, being a "leader" in the legislature doesn't mean your tail is safe from losing your "chair."
