I’ll include pictures below of the first welds it’s ever made. I was burning 1/8” 6011 and started at 100amps to start but after a couple welds I adjusted it down to 90 amps. This welder welds those settings at idle. I think it’s supposed to weld up to 150amps at idle. Anyhow I’m super happy with it. You pros with the keen eye remember I wrote these were my first welds with this rig so I don’t need to hear about the undercut and other flaws you may spot. [QUOTE="Cowcatcher, post: 4084535, member: 43171"] Well I piddled with it some more this weekend. Decided to make the side rails out of angle but turn it up to cradle materials for cutting and butt welding. Used some 3”x3” angle 3/8” thick. The “posts” it’s welded in is 4”x4” with 1/4” wall approximately. Rails are 8’ long. Left room to step on the trailer from the front. I’ll probably weld a step up there. This project has been migged so far but I decided I might as well weld these up with the trailblazer since it’s supposed to be a welder. Man I’m happy with this purchase.
