That's a bummer ... he was a crusty old fart, but I really liked him.

You guys know he fought with the Polish Underground in WWII??

A few years ago the other Justices on the Court decided he needed to be removed (I suspect because he was still sharper than any three of the rest of them put together). I don't remember if he actually filed an age discrimination suit, but I do know that they left him alone after that little trip around the barn ...

Bye, Justice Opala ... I will miss you.:violin:

I saw him Friday afternoon in OKC and said hello as we passed. He was an awesome man. A tremendous asset to Oklahoma. He loved this state and cared about her people. I hope God brings peace and comfort to his family.

Scott said he saw him Wednesday at the Capitol ... sharp as ever. I don't think he EVER missed a day of work.

I met him when I was a bartender in a club in Duncan. He was quite the character and I adored him! They don't make fellas like that anymore!

Apparently he and GC spoke quite a bit over the years. Some of the stories GC has told me about his life and how he wound up over here in the State are fascinating.

He was a semi-regular at the bar and then I got re-acquainted with him after I went to work for the Tax Commission. He never failed to speak to me when I would run into him in the halls. When GC and I got married he told me he was glad I finally found a man to make me honest -- not that he thought that would really work. He never failed to make me smile.
