It is being reported that singer Kitty Wells has passed away. I really enjoyed her music.

She was an awesome lady, My band opened for her at her very last concert on her very last tour in Amarillo Texas several years ago.I got to meet her and her husband Johnny Wright and son Bobby Wright, All great people and great entertainers. She will be missed!!

She had a unique voice. What is so funny to me is that a lot of these superstar country music legends would probably be cut in the first or second round of some of the talent shows looking for the next big star.
