Just got newsletter in email from Lankford. He addressed the second amendment. He stated the President's proposals would be tackled by senate first and he was going to withhold judgement until he sees what they pass.

I know that is the PC answer, but bull crap. We need politicians that will stand up and unashamedly say they are against these restrictions of our rights. It's not enough for them to simply vote no. We need politicians that wil stand up and fight for our freedoms. This non-committal crap is for cowards.

I have known James and Cindy for years and it pains me to say it but he is turning into a true politician. Some of the responses he has put out lately make me ill. His riding the fence on stuff is starting to piss me off!

If I were a representative for OK, I'd introduce bills every year eliminating NFA 1934, GCA 1986 and the Hughes Amendment to FOPA 1986.

James has begun the leadership climb. He is chairman of some sort of GOP policy committee. I think he wants to stay out of hot water with leadership. That's not how he ran. He ran as fixing Washington. You don't fix Washington by being noncommittal on an issue like this. Seems like he ought to tell us what he thinks and stick to his guns, so to speak, rather than tell you he's waiting to see what comes out of the Senate.

At a packed town hall meeting and at OCPAC, Rep. Lankford assured everyone looking for 2A answers that he fully supports the rights of hunters, sportsmen and people interested in self-defense to their right to keep and bear arms. When the crowd continued to remind our Congressman that the reason the Second Amendment exists is not to hunt deer, but as a safeguard against tyranny, he avoided all that and pulled another question from his little red bucket.

Lankford will sell us out, just as he has done when he voted for the NDAA.
