Our travels haven't taken us east of the Mississippi yet. But, if I ever get out that way, I'll have to try to find that.
That's the place. The Cannon Walk is also cool. There is base housing directly across the street from the Cannon Walk. Imagine being a kid with the Cannon Walk as your front yard. Talk about playing army!

He mentioned going through the gate and the guard calling her Sergeant
She's in ROTC at a college in Alabama. Her I.D. card (CAC card) does read "Sergeant". She is leaving Lawton on Tuesday, though.
