What brand of upper is that? Why no FA or SD? Looks very tough (beefy).
The upper and lower are both from Sun Devil MFG. I don't know why it doesn't have a FA or SD. I guess they're not really needed for normal people doing normal shooting.
So is it a target rifle you're building? I'd hate to be in a SHTF situation and have a FTF without FA.

Yo Deacon that's one of the best posted so far so I'd say it is "much"!
I would take the KX3 off and put a regular flash hider on it though unless it's perm. attached. I only suggest the KX3's on barrels under 10.5. They are just too big and heavy and throw sparks out when they are dirty and expensive that I don't think they are worth it. I have a few buddies in the sandbox that had them on 10.5 LMT uppers and took them off also. The only time I liked that I had one was on that 7.5 inch upper I posted earlier.

It's not bad as far as sound control, but it does little for actual flash hiding.

I had an A2 flash hider on there but it's a 14.5" so the noveske makes it legal, besides, I like the thing. It does have some mass to it, but I'm not concerned about weight; if I was I'd ditch the surefire, that thing weighs a ton. Its benefits are designed around a shorter rifle, like you say, so it would be pointless to put it on anything longer than a 14.5, and even then it'd debatable.
I forgot about the covers, those things are great! I must've posted an old pic. The Vltor E-mod stock is awesome too. The bigger butt pad fits the shoulder better and the longer clubfoot style makes it decent for long range, i.e. prone shooting.
