I'll probably just keep running the LT BUIS until I decide if I want a T1 or not. I need to talk Bryon into pulling the one on his MP7 off and let me try it out.
If you can sweet talk him out of it, I wouldn't mind seeing it, too. I'd like to compare it with my Iron Dot.

Have you shot it with the light that close to the ejection port?
Not yet. That big M3 was only on there for my amusement, I'll probably put a 6P on there instead.

Hmm that would be nice on there functionally, I'm running a "suburbs shortdot" aka Trijicon Accupoint but it is a little heavier than ideal for a shorty I suppose. T1 would look mighty nice on there though.

Ha! I like that.

Yeah functionally I loved it and it would let you do anything with the carbine but it was too heavy and I like to run my stock in and shoot with my nose on the charging handle which made me have to push the scope forward too far and made it balance weird. I really want something with some magnification though which is why I'm holding off on the T1. The only other option I like is to go with a TAO1 Acog and put a mini red dot on it piggy back. That's more than I want to spend though.

Love the AR 10T. I would love to have a .308 AR. BTW, the BM Varmints really do a good job too.

While I enjoyed shooting my M1A and owned it for 12 years, in the 2 months I've owned the AR-10T I've already run 10 times the ammo through it. I've had the trigger out 3 times tuning it up and finally got it the way I want it. Now I'm still trying to decide what powder and brass will be my standard load. So far I've found it odd that I seem to get the best accuracy from some old M-60 brass LC 74 that I had delinked several years ago. I think Varget or IMR 4895 is going to be the powder for the AR. One thing I like about Varget it shoot great in our Sharps 45/70 with 522 gr cast bullets too. I sold a Colt SP-1 AR-15 when I purchased the Bushmaster Varminter. I could never get the Colt to shoot much better then a 3 inch group at 100 yards and the Varminter will shoot .285" groups at 100 yards quite easily. The prairie dogs out here sure don't like it.

Yeah, they do have to be pretty far forward. My TR21 has to be all the way forward in it's mount, and the mount all the way forward on the reciever, and I still end up clicking the stock out another notch sometimes. I haven't had it for long so i'm still working out the bugs.

And since this is supposed to be a pic thread, here's a horrible quality pic of my work in progress:

BCM midlength upper
Larue 12.0 (gas block shaved, what a pain!)
Trijicon Accupoint TR-21R in Larue SPR-E mount
RRA lower (shared)
it's still waiting on me to build it's own lower with MIAD & UBR, a Vickers sling, some rail panels, and a mount for my G2L.

So people sometimes ask me "Hey Kyle, just what do you keep in the compartment on that sexy UBR of yours?"

Well, I hope these pictures will answer that very question. Contents depend on the mood I'm in.
