I'm looking at the same light/mount combo. I don't use front vert grips. Do you think that offset would be a better location than the LaRue mount that puts the light in the middle of the rail? How easy is it to activate without using the FVG?
the tangodown is rediculously hard to get off so i put it on another rifle and gave it a try, and i wouldnt suggest the offset mount without the vfg. way to far away from your thumb to press the button. as for the light and mount setup, its freaking awsome. with the acog, i can see about 80 yrds in pitch black darkness.
edit: i meant its to far away from any of your fingers to press the button without taking your hand off of the handguard
DrB, I have the same offset mount and its not very useful without a VFG. Have you thought about the LaRue inline mount?
