I never cared much for cats, but one day my ex-wife acquired one. she had always wanted one and thought it would be "her" pet since the dogs she had rescued over the years all liked me better. Initially I got a kick out of the cat because it shadowed me everywhere and wanted nothing to do with her. Once I realized that it needed zero house training, kills any critter or insect that finds its way into the house or basement, and plays fetch it started to grow on me. Since my golden passed away she has made a good buddy for my great pyr. Long story short, I got rid of the wife and kept the cat.

LMAO. Love the ending.

A cat wouldn't be horrible since I do tend to find a lot of bugs making their way in my house. It might grow on me....I just love dogs so much though.

getta dog. i never liked cats, but i saw a show the other night that said cats carry a parasite that has to exit them, pass through a mouse, then get back into the cat to complete its lifecycle. studies proved that the smell of cat pee scared the crap out of unexposed mice , but mice exposed to the parasite were sexually attracted to the smell of cat pee, which made them unafraid, even seek out cats. the parasite was controlling the mouse, so it would be eaten, and the parasite could complete its lifecycle.

here's the kicker, the show said 50% of the human population have contracted, and carry this parasite! supposedly, it affects the brain, making people more impulsive. they said it would make depressed people more likely to commit suicide. i'm not making this up.

if i ever again need rodent control, i'm getting a rat terrier!
