Anyone see this yet. Looks interesting. An outsourced product for S&W.

I don't have the best vision. but does that look like a thread protector on the end of the barrel?

Yes, and if I recall I remember reading something about it being threaded from the factory when it was first announced months ago.

That's what I was thinking, but its 7.6" long, so that's pretty much the size of a full-size M&P9 isn't it? Still looks very much like the P22 barrel/mag though (and the barrel looks like its not leaning with the slide back - which makes me think its a fixed barrel design), maybe just larger? Looks cool either way.

I'm a big fan of the M&P, if these work well, I'll have to get one.

Read on S&W forum that the M&P22 is being manufactured by Walther. Has only medium size grip that is not changable. Supposed to have been available in April of this year - now saying September.
