So I made the mistake of looking at the Dillon Super 1050 and now I think I need (well, not really) one of these. Anyone have one they am chime in and tell me if it's worth the heavy price tag? The built-in swager looks like a really cool item.....does it work well?

Worth the difference in cash compared to a 650? Also, I know the caliber conversions can run some serious coin....if I have my own dies for calibers can I simply use them? I saw one in action...simply awesome

I was going to buy the 650 as well......but, after loading it up with all the bells and whistles, it was pretty close to the 1050. Going with the 1050 was a no brainer for me. Toolheads are a bit pricier, but you can find a deal on a used one here and there. I currently have 5 toolheads w/dies (9mm, 40, 45, 223 & 300BLK). I wanted the best money could buy and I wasn't really concerned about price.

Just like any other loader, you could switch your dies anytime you wished.

I personally don't think you could go wrong with wither loader, but hey I'm a touch biased and would tell you to pick the 1050. Good luck to you whatever you do.

I've never had much trouble with my Dillon that couldn't be fixed by a phone call to their tech support. Another difference between the 650 and the 1050 is that the 1050 does not carry the lifetime " no BS" warranty. Dillon considers it a commercial machine and only warranties it for one year.
